The path that led Mike to become the Senior Pastor at MSCC is long and varied. Born and raised in nearby Cupertino, Mike learned about Jesus Christ through the local Young Life ministry. He graduated from Biola University intending to go into cross-cultural missions ministry, but God had other plans. He found his wife Jolie and after spending a few years down in the LA traffic decided to move back to their roots in the Bay Area. They moved in 1986 to a home in Newark where they raised their two amazing children: Chris, recently graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in film, and Kelly who is currently a student at Westmont.
Mike had the opportunity to be the on-site director of a unique Christian facility in the middle of the rain forest of Belize, which was an amazing and life changing experience for the entire family. Soon after their return to the Bay Area, Mike sensed God's call into pastoral ministry, and in 2000 started on staff here at MSCC as the Associate Pastor for Youth and Worship. In 2005 the elders recognized the leadership qualities of Mike, and that they fit uniquely with the needs of the church and Mike became the Interim Senior Pastor. In 2006 the Mike was commissioned as the Senior Pastor for MSCC.
